What Products Do Stationery Shops in Singapore Offer?

Stationery shops in Singapore range from small independent stores to large office suppliers. What you find depends on the type of shop.

Office supplies and everyday stationery

Most shops stock the basics: notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters, sticky notes, paper clips, files and folders. Office suppliers carry these in bulk, which suits businesses and home offices.

School supplies

Because school stationery is in steady demand, shops carry pens, erasers, rulers, geometry sets, highlighters, exercise books and art materials. Demand peaks before the school year starts in January, so shops often run promotions then.

Office equipment and IT accessories

Some suppliers go beyond paper and pens, selling printers, shredders, laminators and binding machines, along with computer accessories, USB drives and storage. These are more common at dedicated office suppliers than at gift-focused shops.

Specialist stationery

Fountain pens, journals, planners, calligraphy and art supplies, and character or themed stationery are sold by specialist and independent shops. Bras Basah Complex is a good area to browse for these.

Japanese stationery

Japanese stationery, such as washi tape, fine-tip gel pens and character notebooks, is popular in Singapore. Hands (formerly Tokyu Hands) is one retailer that sells Japanese stationery. Its website lists three Singapore stores (Suntec City, Great World and Orchard Central), after several closures, so check before visiting.

Online stationery shops

Many shops sell online with delivery, which helps for bulk orders or specific brands. Compare delivery fees and minimum order values alongside the item price.

Buying tips

Check store hours and stock before travelling, compare prices across a few sellers for bulk orders, and keep receipts for items you might return.
